I’ve taken countless group exercise classes from Erica over the years! And I’ve been part of her running club. What kept me coming back for more over the years was Erica’s motivating style, her clear direction/ expectations and (most importantly) the changes I realized in my body as a result of her instruction!
Yes, Erica has been inspirational during times that I could have “walked away” from my goals, especially on those long long runs! But she’s also been spot on around what I (and the rest of her team/classes) needed to do to meet our goals. I think Erica’s passion for helping others comes through in every workout and every training!

I was reluctant, because I had never in my life been into running. But, she was persistent and was so full of positive energy and influence, I agreed to participate.

But, by following her training program, I ended up losing 25lbs and was running half marathons with the run club for next 2 years. Coming Back from Lyme Disease
As someone who spent most of my life actively pursuing physical fitness, I was always pretty fit and active. Years ago that changed for me when I was diagnosed with Lyme disease. I was plagued with the heavy iron cloak of fatigue, pain and lethargy. More than that, any exertion made my symptoms worse. Reentering fitness on any level, even basic walking, tested me greatly. I tried and retried different ways to be active, but everything taxed me.
Nothing worked – not hiring a trainer, not doctors, nothing. I was so tired of attempts followed by setbacks, that I began to develop an aversion to physical activity in any capacity.
When I was introduced to Erica I shared my story with her. She began to ask me questions and talk to me about my vision and goals. Something about her gentle persistence told me that she genuinely heard me. She encouraged me and suggested I start a little differently; cautiously, carefully and monitoring myself at all times. She gave me short, tiny attainable goals that I could implement from home that same day.
I followed her guidance, and started to see things change for the better very quickly. The steps I started with were easy and doable, and I followed her direction as well as her warning signs for when I should stop.
Because of Erica, I can say that I couldn’t be happier. I feel healthier, stronger and more toned and energized than I have in years. I am excited and committed to continue with her and watch my progress climb.

I ran my first half-marathon
I spent several years working out with Erica and her Run Club. Not only did we run we also participated in her outdoor boot camp classes. I can honestly say that during that time period, I learned more about myself and physical abilities than I have with any other fitness professional. Erica was able to truly bring the best out in anyone she worked with. With her support and direction, I was able to improve my level of fitness and run my first half marathon (13.1 miles).
Honestly, I joined the club to have a group to run with, but I got so much more. If fact, it was worth it to me to drive an hour each way to participate, talk about commitment.

I ran a HALF MARATHON
I was a stay-at-home mom with a one and two year old keeping me busy. Sleep deprivation and lack of exercise left me exhausted all of the time. I knew something had to change in order to improve my energy and chase after my babies. A friend suggested I start running with her run group at our local gym. I had never been a runner – I thought a mile was the most I could ever hope for – but I knew it would get me out of the house and among other adults so that was enough incentive.
My first day at run group I met our instructor, Erica, and sparked an immediate friendship. She was energetic and bubbly and, no matter how bad I thought I was, she would come right along side me and encourage me during our run.
I’m still amazed how Erica was able to maintain a conversation while outpacing everyone in our group! No matter how slow I was or how many times I had to stop and catch my breath, her positivity was infectious and kept me going when I may have stopped if left to my own motivation.
Not only did my energy and health improve, but I ran a HALF MARATHON with Erica as our fearless leader. If you had told this exhausted mom that she would be able to run for two hours without stopping, get her energy back, and make lifelong friendships just by joining a run group, I would have said that’s impossible. But Erica puts her heart and soul into everything she does and I am proof of that.
I found just what I needed to begin a new workout routine and have some fun
I met Erica when my friend and I decided we wanted to make a change and joined her outdoor boot camp. I wanted to get in shape, lose weight and have more energy throughout the day. We were new-ish moms and wanted some guidance and motivation to get healthier, for ourselves and our families.
Through the boot camp I found just what I needed to begin a new workout routine and have some fun along the way. I was actually showing up 4 days a week at 5:30 am outdoors (in the cold and in the heat). Erica made it fun with music, circuits and obstacle courses.
Boot camp was challenging and productive for me. So, I decided to hire her for personal training, where I continued to get stronger and realized a substantial weight loss of 20lbs, and I was down 2 dress sizes!
